Top 5 Products - October - Korean Brand Edition

Hello Friends!

I hope everyone is enjoying fall! Fall is my favorite season and if that makes me a basic white girl, I'm okay with that. Pumpkins, cooler weather, sweaters, orange/red/yellow leaves, etc etc. Since we've approached fall, I'm going to post my top 5 favorite skincare products that I have been loving this month (and the last couple of months).

1)  Cosrx pimple patches - $5

You guys, these are legit. They work for my small whiteheads and large cystic acne. They have 3 different sizes; small, medium and large. Place one of these bad boys on your pimple and the infection will be pulled out. Its gross and yet satisfying at the same time.

Depending on the size of the pimple/infection, the pimple could be flattened overnight or within a couple of days - which is a miracle for those who have suffered for over a week with the same cystic pimple.

I usually buy these in multiples of 5 - wishtrend has some deals and so does testerkorea. I used to blow through a whole pack in one night - yes my acne was that bad.

Pro tip: Put this on right after cleansing. If you put it on after your toner, it won't stick as well. Definitely put this on before any of your ampoules/serums/essence

2) Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule - $49

I had heard a lot about this ampoule from bloggers and beauty experts alike, so when Missha was having a 40% off sale I had to try it. I got it for a steal at $29.50 and let me say I really regret....not buy 2!

This is amazing. I'm 25 so I don't have a lot of wrinkles, but this is supposed to help reduce signs of wrinkles and prevent them. So I can't give you a good review about that part, but I will say it has helped with my acne pigmentation.

I really noticed the affect after several weeks. I'm not sure if it is the niacinamide or the lactobacillus but something is working. Now my pigmentation hasn't gone completely away - I've had several breakouts that left pigmentation - but it has definitely lightened.

This is also a good product to help retain moisture - perfect for fall!

I'm sad because I just ran out of this ampoule :( I'm testing out some other products so I won't be buying another one just yet.

Pro Tip: I like to put a drop of this on the back of my hand. Your hands take just as much stress and damage as your face. Just like you would put some on your neck, put some on your hands too! That way your hands won't show your age either

3) Leejiham Vita Propolis Ampoule - $23-38

I like to call this liquid gold, because it has a gold color and it is amazing! Yes it is expensive for the amount you get but I've had mine for 4 months now and I'm only half way through the bottle, so that makes up for it.

I like to mix this with my moisturizer - just one drop is enough. This will allow the ampoule to get across my whole face using only a small amount and will extend how long the bottle will last. You can also add this to your bb cream and foundation.

This gives me an instant glow and it's helping my hyperpigmentation. I absolutely love this product!

Why the varying prices? Just depends on where you buy from.

Pro tip: Combine a drop with your moisturizer or BB cream to extend the life of your ampoule. You'll get the same benefits while using less

4) Cosrx Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream - $15

Snail? Did you say SNAIL?! You put snail on your skin?! Why yes, yes I do and it is amazing.

This cream is perfect for acne prone oily skin. It hydrates without leaving my skin oily, it helps heal acne, plus it's good for pigmentation as well! If you have dry skin, I'd definitely layer another moisturizer on top.

I like to use this at night, and I wake up every morning with soft skin. My acne has calmed down significantly - it's almost completely gone! (Hope I didn't jinx myself)

I will say that the packaging is a bit irritating. Since the moisturizer is made of snail mucin, it is super sticky. It gets all over the lid between the main lid (not sure what to call it) and I find that extremely frustrating. If anyone from Cosrx every reads this, please fix your packaging!

Pro tip: Tap this product into your skin instead of spreading it around. Yes it's sticky but it will absorb into your skin faster than rubbing it in - plus it's a lot less tugging on your skin, wrinkle prevention!

5) Neogen Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Wine $20-27

I originally had this spot reserved for the Banila Co It Radiant Brightening Eye Cream - which I loved when I first bought it but now I am not sure...review to come.

Onto the Wine peeling...this is the best exfoliate I have tried so far. It is very gentle and has two sides -  one is gauze and the other is quilted. So if you do have sensitive skin, you can use the quilted side which is softer.

I have used exfoliaters that have seriously burned my skin, and this has not - it is so gentle. My skin feels new and soft after using it, plus it helps with my pigmentation and keeping my pores clear. It contains lactic acid which is an AHA and a chemical exfoliater. So you get a manual plus chemical exfoliater in one.

I would like to note that this smells AH-MAZING!

Pro tip: Use this on your elbows to slough off dead, dry skin!

These are my top 5 products, not necessarily fall products but products I have been using and enjoying for the last couple of months.

What are your favorite products? Have you tried any of the above? Leave your thoughts in the comments below :)

xoxo Allison
